What is it?
It is a way to measure your body’s acid/alkaline level. It is a measure of blood PH or in other words, the homeostasis process.

ACIDS: 0-7
ALKALINE: 7-14

How do you measure PH?
Litmus paper can be found at local heath food suppliers. Putting the paper to your saliva or urine, depending on the color change, will indicate what acid/alkaline mean to you: it is an indicator of your body’s health. The more acidic you are the better the environment for diseases. The more alkaline you are, the more inhospitable your body becomes for disease (Haas, 2006). A good PH range is 7.35-2.45. The best way to test is through urine, which can ne charted daily (see attached chart).

What are the consequences of an acidic body?
1. Poor digestion in the small intestines. Inability to metabolize food properly, leading to poor enzyme production. This leads to fatigue, hormonal imbalance, malabsorption, and constant sickness.
2. Bones lack calcium and create bone density problem.
3. Insulin levels increase, causing weight gain difficulty loosing weight.
4. Poor electrolyte production, which is a major ingredient in cell communication, namely muscles and the heart.
5. Burdon on all organs since their environment is designed for alkalinity.

Stress and its effects can’t be ignored. Stress can make one’s body acidic and keep it acidic no matte what you try to do. (Haas, 2006)

How can I improve an alkaline body?
You can’t.

How can I improve an acidic body?
Less stress and less acidic food such as vinegar, sauerkraut, ascorbic acid, alcohol, coffee, soft drinks, white sugar and medical drugs. Eat more alkaline foods such as fruit, vegetables, water, onions, carrots, calcium citrate, vitamin K, bean sprouts and exercise.
